Pengaruh Media Tanam dan Intensitas Naungan Terhadap Pertumbuhan Bibit Api-Api (Avicennia alba)

Mangrove forests are ecosystems located in tidal areas coastal areas, beaches, and small islands. The area of mangrove is decreasing due to the conversion mangrove into fishponds, plantations, timber exploitation. ecosystem rehabilitation activities need be carried out through planting. Avicennia alba a pioneer species that grows swamp habitats on sheltered locations, as well saltier parts coastline. objectives this research analyze effect planting media shade intensity seedling growth alba. study used two-factor experimental design complete randomized design. first factor second one intensity. results showed shading most influenced seedlings. variables affected include height, diameter, number leaves, total wet weight, dry weight. treatment combination gave best was A2N0, means medium form mixture mud, sand compost without (0% shade).
